| These are the core units for the chemistry curriculum
that is being developed. The documents are in progress and are in no way
thought to be a final product. The first unit on safety and measurement
is an attempt at responding to the requirements of the Understanding by
Design (UbD) curriculum process. We know we need more work on several of
the items, and that is the purpose of the second meeting in August. We want
to create a format of file sharing, construction of the documents themselves
and a system of organizing the supporting documents to connect with the
with unit document. I have created the most logical link to the units shown.
All but the first has just the first stage of UbD completed. Even that is
subject to change as I was looking at the second unit and it appears that
it could be merged into the third unit with a gain of three weeks in the
over scheme of things.
Please feel free to look at all, read all, come to our meeting in August
with ideas, and brainstorm thoughts. I will not guarantee that all will
be used, but we will try to accommodate ideas and modifications, as the
group feels comfortable. |
